Children In Families

Children In Families (or Komar Knong Krousar in Khmer), is a non-government and non-profit organization in Cambodia, established by individuals concerned about the overuse of institutions in caring for the needs of Cambodia’s children at risk.

At Children In Families, we recognize God's design of the family. We understand that for children to develop and grow in a wholesome way requires the love, nurturing and the security of a permanent family unit. Our desire is to find permanent Cambodian families for children through kinship care, permanent and long-term foster care for children who cannot be reunited with their birth parents.

  Children In Families works to:

    identify, screen and train biological families for kinship care

    identify, screen and train families for short-term, long-term or permanent foster care

    to provide on-going training and support for families in providing a nurturing environment for children, giving special attention to the needs of neglected, abused or disabled children

    raise awareness and educate others on the need for family-based care as a first response to children in crisis
